We have just been witness to some of the greatest International Rugby the game has ever seen. The Autumn Internationals held in Europe have been nothing short of spectacular. We saw Australia lose all 3 games, New Zealand lost two games and the beloved Boks lost a famous game at Twickenham against England. November has truly been spectacular!
But what now? Anyone else feel like we need just one more brilliant Bok performance before Christmas? I could sit and watch a game right now, have a braai and a big old Zamalek. Definitely going to miss donning my Bok shirt. We are also about to witness the South African leg of the United Rugby Championship! The Sharks, Lions, Stormers and Bulls are set to play their European counterparts in the next couple weeks. How do you think our South African teams will perform after such a successful International season?
The Sharks have welcomed back some world class players in Mbonambi, Mapimpi, Nche, Du Toit and Sbu Nkosi, who will be dying to play some rugby at this point!
Ladies and Gents, we are in for one heck of a domestic rugby season! Hold onto your hats!
Fixtures this weekend:
Connacht vs Ospreys, Friday 26 November 21:35, its a late one and it takes place in Galway Greyhound Stadium but its still going to be worth every second of rugby!
The first game on Saturday sees Benetton vs Glasgow Warriors, 15:00! Warriors should be taking this game by 8 or more points.
Stormers vs Zebre, Saturday 27 November 15:00. Do your best not to miss this absolute cracker of a game! The boys will be looking to squeak some tekkie in Cape Town Stadium!
Sharks vs Scarlets, Saturday 27 November 17:30, Kings Park Stadium! How exciting is it to see that Stadium back on the fixture list? Damn stoked. If you smell burnt rubber this weekend in Durban, its probably Sbu Nkosi burning tekkie in Kings Park!
Next up we have Dragons vs Edinburgh, 19:15. Also a good game to watch, but in my opinion, Edinburgh takes this easily. Maybe the Dragons decide to throw some shade pull of yet another award winning blindside.
Bulls vs Munster. The game of the weekend if you asked me. Munster being one of the strongest European sides take on the Currie Cup champions. The game kicks off at 19:45 on Saturday evening at Loftus Versfeld! Plenty ales will be cracked, regardless of whether the Bulls win in Pretoria or not!
Another jam packed weekend of intense rugby and damn are we excited! So place your bets, crack a beer, put those feet up and keep your TV on Channel 211, you don't want to miss anything!
Be like Homer this weekend.
Go Sharks!!
